Admission Process
At Mater Amoris, we serve children from age 2 through grade 8, providing an authentic Montessori education and utilizing nature to capture children’s innate wonder and curiosity.

The diverse range of families who have chosen Mater Amoris appreciate the unique experiences, the holistic approach, and the opportunities a small independent school offers. We cherish the independence, initiative, and individuality our children display each day of their educational journey.
Our admission process offers opportunities to learn about the principles and values of our community, to explore our vibrant campus, and to experience one of our classroom environments. Start by perusing our website, scheduling a tour, and completing an application.

STEP 1:
Tour
Tour our 13-acre campus with a member of our Admissions team. Tours are generally scheduled at 10 a.m. on weekdays, which gives visitors an opportunity to see our magical environments in motion. Children are not permitted on school-day tours; adult only please.

STEP 2:
Apply
Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are being reviewed on a rolling basis. Applications for the 2026-2027 school year are being accepted with priority admission decisions to be released in mid-February. A $125 application fee is required to process your application and initiate the admission process.

STEP 3:
Meet
Learn more about Mater Amoris and Montessori education, share what your family is looking for in a school, and help us get to know your child and family during this 30-minute virtual meeting with a school administrator. A scheduling link will be sent to you upon submission of your application.
STEP 4:
Visit
The student visit is an important part of the application process. Children applying for preschool through first grade will have a one-on-one visit in a classroom with one of our guides. Students in second through eighth grade will spend a morning in one of our classrooms.
Supplemental Documents
Applicants should submit a teacher recommendation and transcripts for the past two years. Recommendations are confidential and should be sent from the teacher directly to the Mater Amoris Admissions Office.
