Driveway Improvement Project

In 2023, Mater Amoris applied for a grant through the Clean Water Montgomery Grant Program, which is funded by the Chesapeake Bay Trust and the EPA. We were awarded funds to install permeable pavers on a portion of the driveway. Permeable pavers are beneficial to a landscape because they will reduce stormwater runoff and increase the amount of water infiltrating into groundwater. Increasing the amount of permeable surfaces on our campus is part of our commitment to sustainability.

In March 2024, our new driveway was constructed and cherished ever since.

Thank you to Ms. Sophie Peet and all staff that aided the pathway for Mater Amoris' new, sustainable, driveway.
